The beach
The beach below the house is a local surfing favorite — conditions change day to day. For calm-water swimming, Playa Palmas Altas is a protected cove 5 minutes away.
The sand
The volcanic sand runs dark brown to charcoal depending on the light — not jet black, but unmistakably different from anything on the mainland.
Getting around
Rent a car. PR-22 is 8 minutes away and connects you to San Juan (45 min) and Aguadilla (40 min). The coastal road PR-681 has restaurants, bars, and views the entire way.

Arenas Negra is the physical home of Camera 7 on the Offshore View PR surf cam network. The camera sits on the property and looks directly at El Push — one of Puerto Rico's most respected world-class reef breaks.
Roll over in bed, open your phone, check the live feed. When El Push is firing, you'll know before you've had your coffee.
